So what exactly is David Nevogt’s The Simple Golf Swing?

The Simple Golf Swing is a comprehensive training guide which allows golfers of all levels to develop a consistent swing, it teaches mechanics-bases swing fundamentals that one can practice, incorporate, and benefit from in a very short period of time
The Simple Golf Swing covers a wide range of areas which will help improve your game of golf by

  • Hitting the ball further
  • Hit the ball with greater accuracy
  • Hit more greens
  • Lose that slice or hook you may have
  • Step up to the ball with allot more confidence

David explains how you can add distance to your ball without adding more effort in your swing,
He really goes into depth about each step you need to look at and work on, starting with a really easy technique that will produce fantastic results. This starts with hitting the ball but only using a “half swing” technique, by using this you will be amazed that the ball will go just as far as your normal full swing.
But before you do this David explains in depth the area to focus on when taking your back swing.
This of course is followed by the area to focus on with your down swing and so on.

Having a 7 handicap myself I have read many books over the years on this specific topic (The Improve your golf game) and don’t get me wrong, I have read some super material.
However this was one of the first guides I have read which when I tried really helped my game, this is because it give you EXACT instructions and very easy to follow step by step processes. This is also a really enjoyable read which will have you itching to get out and practice.

GHIN Lookup – The Simple Golf Swing 5 step process

David will cover a 5 step process which if followed correctly will have you seeing results in a matter of a couple of weeks if not sooner. For each step you will need to focus on it to be fully successful, each step is also crucial, and dependant on the previous step. You will have to give each of the 5 steps the same amount of attention. They are also in the order that you should practice them.
David explains that once you feel you have mastered step 1 you can move onto step 2.

GHIN Lookup – The Simple Golf Swing (The five steps and how they will work for you)

Before you get into the 5 steps David will teach you how to grip a golf club properly, how to stand correctly, ball position and lots more. After all these are the essential things you need to know before you can start swinging a club.

The five simple steps cover how to rotate your body, how your elbows need to be during the complete swing and where to expect your ball to go if you don’t have the correct elbow positioning, the down swing and the through swing along with arm and hand positioning and head positioning.  All this is shown in easy to follow steps with explanations as to why these should be followed and what will happen if you get some things wrong. David explains that this makes it a really good learning process because if you do get it wrong you could learn from your mistake just by seeing where the ball went, which in turn will allow you to understand which area you need to correct.

After reading the five steps, even I have corrected a couple of areas of my swing and can already see improvements, and my swing actually feels better too.

What are the BAD things about David’s “The Simple Golf Swing?”

Just like every product and book I have ever reviewed, nothing is perfect and here are the flaws I noticed after reading David’s Guide.
Although this can help anyone improve their golf swing no matter what your handicap it is more focused towards beginner to intermediate  players (around 12 handicap upwards)
That’s not to say people with a lower handicap cant benefit from this as it truly helped me in a few areas and I play off a 7 handicap.
Also the guide is not the biggest guide in the world, 32 pages in total but this is backed up with a heap of bonus material and lots of videos so makes this a very worthwhile product indeed.

And how about the GOOD things about “The Simple Golf Swing?”

This is a very easy and enjoyable read to say the least; David has laid the whole guide out in easy to follow steps, explanations and videos.
The guide has been put together by a group of golf instructors to make this as simple as possible to allow you not to fall for the same mistakes many golfers do and also to remove those bad habits you may have inherited.

After reading and watching the videos in this course you will understand your golf swing and the areas you can improve to get that extra distance, remove that slice or hook you may have and to look good and feel good when you tee off.

David has covered all aspects of the golf swing and much more including some fantastic information about putting which on its own can drop strokes off your handicap.

The Money you can save just by this fantastic training guide alone is unthinkable, people spend a fortune on golf lessons when allot of what you can learn is right here in this guide.

Overall, what do I think?

The Simple Golf Swing in my eyes is the best no fluff guide on exactly how to improve your golf swing. David, the Author has worked with a group of golf instructors with many years experience between them to put this guide together (and it really truly shows) The guide is packed from start to finish with amazing methods on information which anyone from a complete beginner to the advanced golfer can benefit from greatly. In fact even I have learned a few golden nuggets which I now practice and use when I play (and I have read 15+ guides and taken many lessons in golf)
If you are trying to improve your handicap or even struggling with a slice or hook or even putting or trying to get out those sand bunkers then I definitely feel you should pick David’s guide up and read from start to finish!
The next time you GHIN Lookup your handicap you could be looking at a lower handicap.
You won’t regret it!!

Hope my web page has helped you.

Tim.

GHIN Lookup

GHIN Lookup – What is GHIN?

GHIN stands for “Golf Handicap and Information Network” and is a way to post your Golf scores just by logging into the GHIN computer at the golf club.

Golf Associations and GHIN clubs are given the necessary software packages which basically allow members of the club to log onto the GHIN computer and enter their golf score, even if they have played an away game GHIN posting can be done because the GHIN network is linked all over to thousands of clubs across the country.

GHIN Lookup – Golf Clubs Benefits

For Golf Clubs having the GHIN Database in place allows them to see all members which are on GHIN which amounts to a couple of million. Also GHIN Clubs have access to the USGA handicap indexes which allows them to see any visiting golfer’s handicap. Golfers can also immediately see the change to their handicap by carrying out a GHIN lookup at the Golf Club, Clubs can also carry out a number of tasks like printing reports, addresses, handicap labels for membership cards and much more.

GHIN Lookup – How to post your score

GHIN posting has been made very easy and simple. At the club where you have played your handicap game or tournament you can log into the GHIN computer and by entering your GHIN number (which will be your associate card number or some other number which was assigned to you when you applied to the GHIN handicap service) and by following the onscreen instructions you will be able to enter your score, if you run into trouble you can always ask assistance from the staff at the club. As long as the club you are playing has a GHIN computer you can carry out a GHIN post.
GHIN lookup allows members to view their handicap and scores by visiting various web sites which are all linked into the GHIN network.

GHIN Lookup – Some helpfull advice

Here is some great advice and help which will help you drop some strokes off your handicap no matter what your level of golf.

There are many areas you can work on to improve your handicap, but to be honest the first area you should be working on is your golf swing, the better your swing the better you will connect with the ball, because of this you will find the ball going further and further the more you practice.

Many people (especially people new to golf) think the harder you swing the more distance you will achieve, although there is some truth in this if you are a good golfer because you will connect with the ball allot better, for new people it’s the biggest mistake they can make because it will just make you fall into bad habits and you will be prone to more mistakes

The difference in distance a professional golfer gets on their ball compared to someone with say an 18 handicap is huge and the reason is not because the professional golfer is swinging his club twice as hard it’s down to technique and practice.

When most people start to play golf they concentrate more on hitting the ball, it’s also true they may not know allot about the “correct” way or a “simple” and smooth way to swing a club. A new golfer may go round a golf course nobbling the ball all over the place but connect well with the ball on some add occasions, after a while and some practice they will find a technique but very often it’s not enough to get there handicap below 20 and also if you are self-taught you could well be missing out on some simple fundamentals which can greatly improve your game.

The more you play the better you will become and you will find by playing regularly your handicap will drop quickly, BUT very soon you will probably find your handicap is not moving and it can become frustrating.
Many people will develop a slice or a hook when using there driver and have a lot of trouble getting rid of it so end up just accepting it.
There are a number of areas which can cause this including a driver with a lower degree loft like a (9 degree)
remember the less loft on a club the harder it is to hit a straight ball. For new people I would be aiming for at least an 11.5 degree loft if not 12.5 degree.
Also the way you grip the club can have a drastic affect and is probably the most common mistake people make.
Too much of a week grip will cause a slice, too much of a strong grip will cause a hook, you can watch a video from the Simple Golf Swing which explains all this.

GHIN post – Room for Improvement

When it comes to golf there is always room for improvement no matter how good you are, With the Simple Golf Swing you will be focusing on the most important part of your game, with a good solid but steady swing you too will find yourself getting more distance, straighter balls and lowering that handicap of yours.
