So what exactly is David Nevogt’s The Simple Golf Swing?
The Simple Golf Swing is a comprehensive training guide which allows golfers of all levels to develop a consistent swing, it teaches mechanics-bases swing fundamentals that one can practice, incorporate, and benefit from in a very short period of time
The Simple Golf Swing covers a wide range of areas which will help improve your game of golf by
- Hitting the ball further
- Hit the ball with greater accuracy
- Hit more greens
- Lose that slice or hook you may have
- Step up to the ball with allot more confidence
David explains how you can add distance to your ball without adding more effort in your swing,
He really goes into depth about each step you need to look at and work on, starting with a really easy technique that will produce fantastic results. This starts with hitting the ball but only using a “half swing” technique, by using this you will be amazed that the ball will go just as far as your normal full swing.
But before you do this David explains in depth the area to focus on when taking your back swing.
This of course is followed by the area to focus on with your down swing and so on.
Having a 7 handicap myself I have read many books over the years on this specific topic (The Improve your golf game) and don’t get me wrong, I have read some super material.
However this was one of the first guides I have read which when I tried really helped my game, this is because it give you EXACT instructions and very easy to follow step by step processes. This is also a really enjoyable read which will have you itching to get out and practice.

GHIN Lookup – The Simple Golf Swing 5 step process
David will cover a 5 step process which if followed correctly will have you seeing results in a matter of a couple of weeks if not sooner. For each step you will need to focus on it to be fully successful, each step is also crucial, and dependant on the previous step. You will have to give each of the 5 steps the same amount of attention. They are also in the order that you should practice them.
David explains that once you feel you have mastered step 1 you can move onto step 2.
GHIN Lookup – The Simple Golf Swing (The five steps and how they will work for you)
Before you get into the 5 steps David will teach you how to grip a golf club properly, how to stand correctly, ball position and lots more. After all these are the essential things you need to know before you can start swinging a club.
The five simple steps cover how to rotate your body, how your elbows need to be during the complete swing and where to expect your ball to go if you don’t have the correct elbow positioning, the down swing and the through swing along with arm and hand positioning and head positioning. All this is shown in easy to follow steps with explanations as to why these should be followed and what will happen if you get some things wrong. David explains that this makes it a really good learning process because if you do get it wrong you could learn from your mistake just by seeing where the ball went, which in turn will allow you to understand which area you need to correct.
After reading the five steps, even I have corrected a couple of areas of my swing and can already see improvements, and my swing actually feels better too.
What are the BAD things about David’s “The Simple Golf Swing?”
Just like every product and book I have ever reviewed, nothing is perfect and here are the flaws I noticed after reading David’s Guide.
Although this can help anyone improve their golf swing no matter what your handicap it is more focused towards beginner to intermediate players (around 12 handicap upwards)
That’s not to say people with a lower handicap cant benefit from this as it truly helped me in a few areas and I play off a 7 handicap.
Also the guide is not the biggest guide in the world, 32 pages in total but this is backed up with a heap of bonus material and lots of videos so makes this a very worthwhile product indeed.
And how about the GOOD things about “The Simple Golf Swing?”
This is a very easy and enjoyable read to say the least; David has laid the whole guide out in easy to fol
low steps, explanations and videos.
The guide has been put together by a group of golf instructors to make this as simple as possible to allow you not to fall for the same mistakes many golfers do and also to remove those bad habits you may have inherited.
After reading and watching the videos in this course you will understand your golf swing and the areas you can improve to get that extra distance, remove that slice or hook you may have and to look good and feel good when you tee off.
David has covered all aspects of the golf swing and much more including some fantastic information about putting which on its own can drop strokes off your handicap.
The Money you can save just by this fantastic training guide alone is unthinkable, people spend a fortune on golf lessons when allot of what you can learn is right here in this guide.
Overall, what do I think?
The Simple Golf Swing in my eyes is the best no fluff guide on exactly how to improve your golf swing. David, the Author has worked with a group of golf instructors with many years experience between them to put this guide together (and it really truly shows) The guide is packed from start to finish with amazing methods on information which anyone from a complete beginner to the advanced golfer can benefit from greatly. In fact even I have learned a few golden nuggets which I now practice and use when I play (and I have read 15+ guides and taken many lessons in golf)
If you are trying to improve your handicap or even struggling with a slice or hook or even putting or trying to get out those sand bunkers then I definitely feel you should pick David’s guide up and read from start to finish!
The next time you GHIN Lookup your handicap you could be looking at a lower handicap.
You won’t regret it!!
Hope my web page has helped you.
Tim.
